Meet Your Emoji Friends

Muzi, Apeach, Frodo, Neo, Tube, Jay-G, Con and Ryan, these are the names of KakaoFriends, emoticon characters created for KakaoTalk mobile messenger. Kakaotalk is the most popular messaging app in Korea, and these cute emoticon characters are much loved by its users. Recently, KakaoFriends Concept Museum has been opened in Seoul to share stories, personalities and inter-relationship of these 8 characters. According to the museum, it was envisioned as a place that would allow the KakaoFriends the opportunity to get better acquainted with their fans.

Located in the basement of KakaoFriends Hongdae store, the museum spans two floors with “We are Friends” theme. The museum showcases an Emoji Wallscape that are made with most loved 570 emoticons and videos for introduction to the museum, production of the emoticon characters, tales behind the characters, and design experiments of the characters, and many more entertaining featurettes.
